My Personal Top 10 Anime (Currently)

#1 Inazuma Eleven

What a shock, am I right? After 3 rounds of mecha anime, a Futbol anime is what takes my number 1 slot. Now I’m pretty sure most of my readers probably haven’t heard of this hidden gem (shout out to all the people who did know going into this, ya’ll are awesome). At first glance, this looks like your stereotypical Futbol anime until you peel back some of the ogre layers to discover this…

I happen to find the entire experience extremely enjoyable. It brings me back to a time when I was a child watching Saturday morning cartoons, a happier and simpler time. This anime is also very nostalgic for me because it was the first anime I had ever watched to completion. It’s one of the only anime series that I keep up with to this day (It came out in 2008 and they are still making content for it). The anime has a great heart and it fills me with joy every time I go back and revisit it. It is my guilty pleasure and I am not ashamed to admit it. Plain and simple, I have the strongest emotion bond with this anime and that’s why it’s number 1. It surely doesn’t have the same level of writing or themes as the previous 3 and may not be the best, but at the end of the day I will always come back to this.

That concludes my top 10 list, hopefully it shed some insight into my thought process.
