#5 Nichijou
Plain and simple I love this anime because it makes me laugh and I really enjoy the main cast of characters. Nichijou is a slice of life comedy anime that focuses around Yuuko, Mai, and Mio as they experience their ordinary lives in high school. Now on paper I know this sounds boring, but I’m going to let the show speak for itself.
One of the main reasons why I love this anime so much is due to its art style. While it may be simplistic at first glance, this allows them to go over the top and abuse the animation budget when they kick it to over 9,000. I will definitely say that it is heavily rooted in Japanese culture, meaning it’s not the best anime to recommend to a lot of people, especially newcomers into anime. But once you get past that barrier, a beautifully simple and funny show awaits you on the other side.
